California has a rich and colorful history. From the Spanish California mission settlement and the Gold Rush to more modern times when my grandmother took the train from the Grand Canyon to Los Angeles in the early 1900's when Los Angeles was auctioning off lots south of downtown.  I was born and raised in Southern California and love the variety: the foothills, the beaches, and the weather.
